Ambika Ramakrishnan is an educator who believes that the body, mind and spirit have to be in sync for learning to happen. She has been in the field of education for more than thirty-five years, in Chennai and Bangalore. Her passion for teaching, and love for children, was the motivation for a double master’s - one in Education and the other in Guidance and Counseling. She has gained immense experience over the years in guiding and empowering students, while working with persons with diverse learning challenges and special needs. She has been counseling and imparting learning skills to young adults with difficulties in the learning process through multiple workshops and training courses.
As part of the wellness team at Srishti, Ambika brings in years of expertise in teaching and training, to support learning through a holistic approach. Stories are her medium to impart skills to use the tools to learning.

Aneesha is a trained Clinical Psychologist equipped with a wide range of clinical skills including assessment, interventions, and behavior modification. In addition to being a qualified counsellor, she is also a certified Art and Play Therapist. Prior to joining Srishti, Aneesha worked as a counselor with Mallya Aditi International School (MAIS) and with the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).
Aneesha holds a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology – Child specialization, from the Sampurna Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS). With over 9 years of experience working with both children and adults, Aneesha is keen to use her expertise in supporting students during their journey here at Srishti.
Govind Ganesh is a Counselling Psychologist and part of the wellness team at Srishti. Govind has a Masters in Counselling Psychology with Honours, specializing in marriage and family therapy. With over 4 years as a practicing psychologist, he has conducted face-to-face sessions for individuals, couples and groups. He has also conducted telephonic & online counselling, group therapy, workshops and training sessions for individuals of varying ages and from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
He has worked with client issues such as Stress, Motivation, Self-Esteem, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Sexual Concerns, Loss and Bereavement, Relationship issues, Marital concerns, and Parenting issues.
He believes that there lies a certain spark in each individual and if channelized in the right direction it enables them to achieve great heights of success. As a counselor one of his primary areas of focus has been on creating an awareness of this inherent strength in his clients.

Jaishri Iyer is a consultant counsellor at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology and is working with individuals, families and groups, focussing on enhancing young adults’ personal and social functioning, their overall psychological health, and developing effective interpersonal skills.
She has a doctoral degree in Guidance and Counselling, and a graduate degree in Sociology and Education. Having taught Human Resources, Training and Development at Icfai, India, she has also worked as a counsellor at The Asian Hospital, Harmony Counselling Centre, and the Madras Dyslexia Association, Chennai.
Her counselling interests are focused on individual and group therapy, integrative mental health and emotional well-being, family and relationships, life transitions, crisis interventions, outreach and consultation. She is committed to providing support and care to all.
Areas of Interest: communication, motivation, confidence building, anxiety, depression, personality and behaviour disorders, family and relationship concerns, grief and loss, stress management and life skills.
Kalpana joined Srishti in 2010 and is instrumental in introducing process-oriented psychology into art and design education. She has been exploring how process-oriented psychology can contribute to creativity. Kalpana teaches basic self-awareness and teamwork skills and techniques, emphasizing the importance of observation of 'the other' and 'the self'. Her training as a psychotherapist and facilitator, with groups and in conflict situations, makes her an important team member at Srishti.
Kalpana holds a Diploma in Process Work, from Portland, Oregon, USA (2008); her thesis was about teaching psychology through stories. Kalpana is also a graduate of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India, and has a Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Therapy from Xavier Institute of Communication.

Dr. Manjiri Joshi is the health and wellbeing counsellor for all at Srishti. Manjiri helps the Srishti community in managing their existing illnesses and planning for prevention of symptoms and diseases.
A B.A.M.S (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) graduate from the University of Mumbai, she also holds Post Graduate Diplomas in Prevention and Promotion of Healthcare PPHC, and Healthcare Management PGDHCM from Apollo hospital Hyderabad and ICRI Mumbai respectively.
She has the experience of working with individuals by using alternative and complementary health practices. She has worked as a Family Physician in Mumbai and Pune and her experience includes working with healthcare personnel nurses and doctors and families at the Cipla Cancer Palliative Care Centre at Pune as a teacher and counselor.
Priyal graduated from Webster University, Switzerland with an M.A. (Honors) in Counselling. After working as a counsellor with a well-established Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider in Bangalore, she set up her own practice, integrating counselling with clinical hypnotherapy.
She has worked with client issues ranging from anxiety, anger management,crisis intervention, relationship concerns, grief and bereavement. She has also facilitated group presentations for corporate clients on related topics to promote employee wellbeing. Priyal is passionate about working with the adolescent and young adult age group as they stand at the cusp of a number of unique developmental milestones. She resonates with an approach that views the individual as a ‘whole’ and provides a safe space for them to reconnect with their mind and body.
Having recently completed a Yoga Instructors’ Course to deepen her understanding of ancient Indian philosophy, she is keen to incorporate yoga and mindfulness into her counselling practice at Srishti.
Rebekah graduated in Sociology (Honors) and Psychology from St Xavier’s College Mumbai. She went on to complete her Masters in Counselling Psychology from S.N.D.T. University.
Rebekah has worked in the corporate field providing employees with individual therapy to enhance their well being and cope with life challenges. She works with issues like self esteem, lifestyle concerns, relationships, marriage, parenting, abuse, addictions, termination, suicide and psychiatric issues. Rebekah has facilitated workshops in various multinational companies on stress management, communication, exercise, work life balance and related issues.
With over 5 years of experience in the field of psychology, she is keen on providing students with a safe environment where they can discuss challenges, understand themselves and others, and enjoy learning at Srishti.

Rohini is a practicing Creative Arts Therapist, and part of the Wellness team at Srishti. Rohini has, over the past nine years, worked in educational, community and mental health settings in Victoria and New South Wales, Australia. As a professional practitioner, she has conducted therapy for individuals and groups, and managed community projects that combine Art Therapy, Counseling, Health Education, Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Mindfulness practices for adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. Since 2013, she has been a registered professional member of the Australian and New Zealand Art Therapy Association (ANZATA).
Previously, having acquired a Masters in English Literature and a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, (Sydney University), Rohini was employed as a secondary school teacher in Melbourne, whose work specialized in improving Literacy standards of students in the college. She felt motivated to expand her professional abilities, to include supporting the welfare needs of adolescents and adults from an inclusive and holistic approach, and retrained in Masters in Creative Arts Therapy, RMIT University, Australia. She, subsequently, graduated with a Diploma in Counseling from Australian Counseling Association (ACA), Melbourne. She is passionate about working with young people and adults, and strives to provide motivational and experiential learning experiences that foster self-awareness, resilience and autonomy.
Suchitra, a special educator and Consultant Learning Support is part of the Wellness team at Srishti. Her work is strengthened by the close collaboration she has with the other members of the team, who include Psychologists, Health professionals, Theatre / Drama specialists and Special Educators. To ensure a positive learning experience for all students, she collaborates with all Faculty at Srishti as well, to remove barriers to learning. She helps Faculty to individualize learning for the students, especially for those with diagnosed special needs, and thus enable success.
Suchitra, has more than 30 years of varied and rich experience in the field of education as a teacher trainer and special educator, working with persons with various disabilities aged zero and above, as well as teachers and parents both in special and mainstream settings; to promote Inclusive Learning. She has a keen interest in research in education, inclusion, learning and cognition. She works closely with the Human Rights Law Network group to promote a Rights based approach to inclusion. Professionally she collaborates with various senior doctors, counselors, researchers, educationists, therapists etc within India and abroad to ensure the best possible services to her clients.
Suchitra was a Research Assistant at the University of Northampton, from where she holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Inclusive and Special Needs Education; is an Alumni of Harvard Graduate School of Education attending professional development programmes in Learning Differences since 1995; has an M.A in Psychology (Annamalai University); and is a Life Skills Trainer (NIMHANS, Bangalore), apart from being trained to work with persons with various / multiple disabilities. She founded an NGO in 2005 – SANSKRITI – Resource Centre for Inclusion (Cochin- Kerala), and is the President of the Indian Epilepsy Association, Cochin (2009 – to date).
Sumitha is a special educator, early childhood education specialist and a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certified English language and communication trainer with several years of experience in the field of education.
Her work with children and adults with special needs includes designing a specialized curriculum and empowering learners with strong communication, cognitive and life skills using methodologies such as ‘Verbal Behaviour Analysis’ and ‘Creative Movement.’
As an English Language Certification and Learning Specialist with ‘The Hindu’ she has catered to the learning and language needs of young adults from varied backgrounds.
She believes in differentiated learning styles and is keen on creating a holistic learning experience for the students based on their needs and requirements.
