Visual Effects Artist

The person we are looking for will have a clear understanding of the 3D animation and visual effects field and will be a motivated educator. S/He will be able to demonstrate either teaching experience in a formal education setting or experience as an instructor in industry or as a visual effects artist / animation artist in a studio. S/He will have the passion of a teacher who finds great satisfaction in students learning and growing from their teaching.

Eligible candidate needs to meet following conditions:

  • Masters level Design / Art education from a leading institute in Animation / Visual Effects, OR, at least 6 years of Work experience and at least 2 years of teaching experience in the field.
  • Strong inter-personal skills for working collaboratively and teaching in an undergraduate as well as postgraduate academic environment.
  • Experience working with students/interns and guiding them with positive attitude and constructive feedback.
  • Well connected with other design professionals and allied service providers that can be tapped into for teaching, workshops, projects, master classes and demonstrations.
  • Candidate should be proficient in industry standard 3D animation and visual effects software.

As a faculty member in this program, you will develop, teach and assess learning units in multiple courses and at different levels. Some of the major courses in this program where you could be involved as faculty are:

  • VFX Compositing
  • Pre-Visualization
  • Dynamics and Simulations
  • 3D Animation
  • VFX Software
  • Character Modelling, Rigging and Animation
  • Surface Modelling and Texturing
  • Lighting for VFX and Rendering
  • Motion Graphics

Full-time faculty is expected to assist the deans, course leaders, and other faculty members in planning and management of the program involving curricular development, facilitation and invigilation of exams and juries, being part of final year projects and seminars and liaise with industries and related services.


Game Developer

S/He will be able to demonstrate either teaching experience in a formal education setting or experience as an instructor in industry or as a game designer or developer in a game studio. S/He will have the passion of a teacher who finds great satisfaction in students learning and growing from their teaching.

  • Masters level Design education from a leading institute in Game Development or Engineering, OR, at least 6 years of Work experience and at least 2 years of teaching experience in the field.
  • Strong inter-personal skills for working collaboratively and teaching in an undergraduate as well as postgraduate academic environment.
  • Experience working with students/interns and guiding them with positive attitude and constructive feedback.
  • Well connected with other design professionals and allied service providers that can be tapped into for teaching, workshops, projects, master classes and demonstrations.
  • Candidate should be proficient in industry standard middleware and be proficient in programming languages and visual scripting.
