You will be exposed to different kinds of film genres like fiction, documentary, other forms of non-fiction and experimental film. The course covers both conceptual and practice based learning. You will be encouraged to read, write, watch films and learn techniques of making. Most of the student work will be on digital video, in keeping with current trends.

No, this course offers a broad base that acquaints you with all aspects of filmmaking. Students are encouraged to learn camera, sound, editing, direction scripting. The students may choose to specialize in any one aspect either through a master’s program or through apprenticeship.

Through the duration of the course, you will work on short exercises, which will culminate in a final project where you will make a short film within the framework set by the institution.

The school also provides cameras, accessories, sound equipment, and edit machines to film students. However most of the film students still prefer to have their own DSLR cameras so that they can practice and experiment outside academia.

There is no formal placement cell at Srishti. However, film graduates have typically found work with production houses, ad agencies, independent filmmakers, television producers, or in the development sector. Students also choose to freelance and make their own films.
