Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology

The Upasana project was client-based and involved Srishti students in the work of the Upasana Design Studio in Auroville, Pondicherry. The project focused on creating a new range of products for the domestic and global urban markets. The products had to be created keeping in mind the skill of Varanasi weavers and Pondicherry artisan, the intricacy of the woven fabrics, the visual language of the craft and the demands of the market.
